Riverside Drive, in Brattleboro, is a good spot to see Great Blue Herons, Red-winged Blackbirds, Orioles, Green Herons, Wood Ducks, Osprey, and a variety of water birds. The osprey nest was moved in 2018, and although the power company built them a new nesting pole, they are frequenting the area less. You can park on the side of the road parallel to the railroad tracks.
When to go: Early spring through summer gives you the best chances of observing birds here
How to get there: From the center of Brattleboro, take route 142 1.4 miles. Riverside Drive will be on your left.
